A NOTE ON MALLORCA

Mallorca is the ideal choice for a holiday. Island of tranquillity; isle of light and beauty. A haven of peace where life still goes by at an agreeable, unhurried pace and there are no nagging worries or anxieties to mar the contemplation of beauty.
In summer, the sun and the beaches are an open invitation to relaxation. But whatever the time of the year, Mallorca is joyous and carefree.
In winter, the island mantles itself in the glory of its innumerable almond trees. Santiago Ruisiñol has painted a canvas in which he admirably expresses the call of spring of the almond blossom. Mallorca, eternal Spring.
Mallorca is sea and mountain basking beneath a Mediterranean sun. Mallorca is scenery, and art, and the warmth of its friendly hospitable inhabitants.

Mallorca
enjoys an enviable Mediterranean climate of hot summers and mild winters. In the city of Palma, the island capital, the annual average temperature is 20ºC. In the mountain areas temperatures are lower and in winter, snow on the highest ridges is not an unusual sight. In autumn and winter, the north of the island receives a moderate rainfall and is generously forested with holm oak, pine and olive. Spring and summer bring splendid sunshine, to be enjoyed on beaches of fine white sand.

Music Contact International is a professional organizer of International Musical Festivals, Special Events, meetings and concert tours for Choirs. The programmes offer highly attractive concert options in a varied selection of countries, cities and interesting venues in which to sing and make new contacts in a truly international ambience. The cities of Barcelona, Amsterdam, Paris, Prague, Girona, Munich or Vienna are high in our annual agenda of festivals, concerts and meetings for the world of choirs. The schedule begins with the New Year Festival in Paris and its unique choir concerts at UNESCO and the New York Choral Exchange in New York City; in March we move to Holland and its Cantate Amsterdam and then to Germany for the Cantate Bavaria in Munich; in spring choirs can meet for concerts during the Cantate Adriatica in San Marino, Italy or venture to the U.S., for a major Choir Festival in Vermont, conveniently close to major North American attractions. In mid-autumn, Spain is our venue of choice for the Choral Festival Cantate Barcelona in the Barcelona area. November and December are full of activity with two large festivals during Advent in Prague and Vienna, thus bringing our choral year to a close. Music Contact International offers also the possibility to organize tailor-made Tours for Choirs that can include and itinerary of concerts, visits and meetings of international Choirs in characteristic venues of great cities. An interesting workshop is also available in Prague for choirs wishing to develop and acquire new techniques. We also organize music festivals for  marching bands, brass bands and orchestras every year in Prague, Luxemburg, Cologne, Italy and Dublin.
