Munich, the “Capital with Heart“ and its beautiful surroundings one of Germany's most visited cities. This is no surprise as the city has so much to offer: the Bavarian lifestyle, Germany's most popular breweries and a breathtaking countryside -unique in Germany.These are good reasons to visit in spring or summer time.
 
Nowhere in Germany can you find such a lot of beer gardens and large brewery- restaurants as in Munich. Here you can meet local people, and visitors alike, enjoying a snack and the Bavarian beer. Music is part of the culture, but only live music. The October Fest is the big show, but you can find real life "Fests" in Munich and all over Bavaria all year round!
 
Several weekends are available for parades or friendship concerts in beer gardens with local audiences. Enjoy the Bavarian beer and the Bavarian brass music!  A popular "Fest" with  marching bands and majorettes parading through the town takes place in Olching, near Munich, since 1950. The parade covers about 2 km through the city centre to the area of the beer festival; after the parade, the festival is inaugurated by the Major by tapping the first beer barrel.

One hour's drive south of Munich, in an idyllic countryside presided by the Alps, there are several interesting sights well worth a visit.The Castle Linderhof, the village of Oberammergau with its famous festival and the Monastery of Ettal. Concerts are possible i.e., in Oberammergau during the weekends which would introduce the music groups to one of the most beautiful parts of Germany and the Bavarian way of life.
